In 1977, the future of custom bedding manufacturing took a turn for the
better. That was the year Randall Koch established Randall K / Designers
Express, Inc. From that point forward, interior designers on the cutting edge
had a partner they could count on—to cut and sew their exotic fabrics and bring
their creativity and most inspiring designs to life!

The word spread quickly about Randall K and the company's innovative,
responsive approach to COM (customer's own material) manufacturing. The
business flourished, bound by its commitment to superior craftsmanship and
uncompromising customer service. In 1984, leading the industry in
technology, we introduced a state of the art computer system for order status
and tracking information. In 1987 we introduced computerized quilting, which
facilitated the over 100 different quilting patterns that we offer today. In
1997, to better serve our expanding clientele of visionary Interior Designers,
we designed and built a 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility in San
Diego's Sorrento Mesa—a hotbed for the region's high tech companies.
